Winch Powered Docking System
A CPC carrier with a load of pipes, reefer and general cargo containers heading for the pipe laying vessel.	A modern box-shaped bulk carrier loading coated pipes.

CPC developed the "Winch Powered Docking System" in 2001/02 to enable conventional vessels the ability to dock alongside a pipe-laying barges while running anchor spreads in a safe and efficient way.

To date, CPC's project teams have successfully loaded and docked more than 250 times alongside anchored pipe- laying vessels.

Arrowhead Stowage of Pipes

In mid-November 2001, across the volatile seas of the Bass Straits, CPC pioneered the "Arrowhead" stowage of pipes in the cargo hold. Utilising conventional single hold vessels, CPC increased the net carrying capacity surpassing any standard pipe supply vessels and cargo barges.
