Mexilhao Pipeline Project - Brazil
In 2008, CPC transported 104,620mt of 34" pipe for the Petrobras Mexilhao project in 3 stages.
Firstly, the trucking of 60km from Guarapari to the pipe yard in the port of Vitoria. Secondly, CPC planned the stowage and scheduling of several bulk carriers using conventional boom and gantry cranes.
Pipe was transported to the port of Sao Sebastio 470nm south west and discharged to a pipe yard for intermediate storage planned by CPC.
Finally the pipe was loaded onto Pipe Supply Vessel's (PSV) to supply the Acergy Piper offshore. An additional (17,719mt) 2012 joints were stored and redelivered offshore, these joints came directly from the pipe coating yard.
