ISO 9001 - Quality Management System

CPC is constantly seeking new ways to improve our operational performance. Our ability to differentiate our solutions from other industry players is our distinct competitive advantage. Being mindful of being boxed-in, we constantly seek new solutions that are direct and cost effective for our customers. We understand that meeting our customers’ requirements is the basic tenet of providing quality services. This requirement is an imperative in every project. We recognize that the achievement of customer satisfaction is one of the key performance indicators that must drive each project team.

ISO 9001

We believe that our quality management system must be anchored upon innovation and continual improvement. To this end, our notion of quality services is simply: on-time delivery in full without any damage.

The calibre of our project team and support staff is a vital ingredient to the success of each project. Hence we are committed in applying best practice methods in our human capital management and development. From the onset of the hiring process to the mandatory continuous professional development (CPD), we ensure that our project teams remain relevant in terms of their QHSE knowledge, professionalism and dedication to the achievement of each project goals.

Since 2007, CPC has been certified to ISO9001 by ABS-QE. The rigorous audits have cross examined our management system, process loops and documented procedures. Our internal audits are carried out to ensure that the practices spelt out in the ISO9001 International Standard; customers requirements; standard operating procedures; project specific procedures; applicable in-country legal and statutory requirements are achieved and compiled.

Our top management plays an active role in promoting our quality management system. They are responsible to provide the necessary resources to achieve our business objectives and customers satisfaction.

They are committed to increase our shareholders values by ensuring due diligence and sound corporate governance.

ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System

As a global citizen conducting pipe moving operations all over the earth, we are mindful of the need to protect our fragile environment. We believe our contribution in the effective use of resources and minimization of waste will prevent the depletion of natural resources and lower the pollution of our environment. We seek to constantly monitor and review our supply chain management to ensure that inefficiency can be eradicated and waste generation can be avoided at every stage. Through active and consistent education of our staff, suppliers and customers we can gather support for our cause to protect our planet.

By adopting the 4Rs of waste minimization, through careful planning and prudent management, our approach of Rethink, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle will have a positive impact in the environment we operate in.

Rethink - By breaking existing mould and mindsets, we will be able to find innovative ways of conducting our
operations that are effective, efficient and environmental friendly.

Reduce - Reducing the amount of waste produced by a person or a society and reducing the dependency of
material resources by finding alternate environmental-friendly solutions for our operations.

Reuse - An item is used again for the same function, and new-life reuse where it is used for a new function.

Recycle - Involves processing used materials into new products in order to prevent waste of potentially useful
materials.

We set environmental objectives and targets for every project. Close measuring by the project team and monitoring by the management will ensure that our environmental performance can be continually improved. We respect the applicable legal and statutory requirements of the location that we are operating in. By being certified to ISO 14001, we seek to be accountable for our participation in protecting the environment.

OHSAS 18001 - Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)

The welfare of our employees and partners is of utmost concern for the management of CPC. We constantly strive to ensure a safe working environment for our people to operate in. To this end, we have established a Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) to the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007.

Being mindful that our operation could potentially lead to injuries, loss of lives, damage to equipment and property, we conduct our operations in a safe and efficient manner without compromising the needs of all stakeholders.

Prior to every project, we conduct rigorous assessments to identify hazards and analyze the risks involved. We would then put in place controls that are intended to eradicate or at the least minimize the exposure to hazards for our people. Our approach is all rounded which includes engineering controls, administrative controls and personal protection controls.

A. Engineering Controls

  • Eliminate – remove the hazard
  • Substitute – use less hazardous substance or apply alternate methods to conduct an operation
  • Isolate – the process, equipment or person

B. Administrative Controls

  • Safe work practices
  • Safe operation procedures
  • Job rotation
  • Training

C. Personal Protective Equipment Control

We adopt a proactive and holistic approach in managing our OHSMS. Management, staff, vendors, suppliers and customers are involved in a participative manner in maintaining our OHSMS.

Continuing education on OHS is vital to the inculcation of a positive mindset towards workplace health and safety. Timely reminders are carried out via toolbox talks. Enforcement actions are carried out with OHS personnel on duty, safety audits, management safety walk-abouts.

We provide comprehensive health care benefits to our employees. Medical screening for associated occupational health illnesses are mandated in our employment. Related occupational health cases are investigated to reveal root causes so as to enable us to take the appropriate measures to prevent future recurrences.

Accidents and near misses are recorded and independently investigated. All employees and sub-contractors are instructed to report all incidents. We provide easy channels of reporting such as verbal reporting to encourage the reporting of such occurrences. Timely reporting and thorough investigation are monitored by top management for such incidents.
